Asia Bizz: Japanese Motor giant Honda has launched its much awaited CBR 150R in the Indian market on March 16, 2012. The company earlier unveiled the bike at the 2012 Auto Expo held in the month of January in the Indian capital – Delhi.

The new CBR 150R will be competing against other leading bikes in the market like the Yamaha R15 and the newly launched Bajaj KTM Duke 200. Honda has priced the new CBR 150R at Rs 1.16 lakh ex showroom.

All bike enthusiasts can get the bike in two variants – Standard and the Deluxe model. The Deluxe model will offer triple-tone paint job while the Standard version will be offering two-tone paint job.

The new Honda CBR 150R is powered by a 150 cc engine which generates the power of 17.6 bhp with a peak torque of 12.6 Nm. The new CBR is also powered by a 6 speed gearbox to provide adequate power transmission. Honda’s new bike also boasts of its patented PGM FI Technology.

The other exciting features of the bike include front and rear disc breaks, mono-suspension, wide front and r ear tubeless tyres for better stability. The new bike by Honda looks like a toned down version of its Honda CBR 250R motorcycle.
