Asia Bizz: The globally renowned developer of branded luxury properties Trump Organization is set to enter India with a residential project in Mumbai. Apart from the property business, there are reports that the brand will also possibly enter the booming Indian hotel industry as well.
The branded residential development by Trump is yet to begin, which is its first venture in the country. Donald trump Jr., the executive vice president of the company said that he wass happy that his plans of having something in the Indian real estate space were finally taking shape.
The Trump organization had announced its plans for the Indian shore about 18 months back. Trump Jr expressed that his company sees a lot of potential for their ‘Trump Hotel’ collection of properties.
The executive vice president added that he is in talks with potential development partners. Trump Jr also also stated that India is a potential market and it has made good progress in terms of active discussions with a host of companies. Without giving out any details of the progress, Trump Jr said that the talks are in fairly advanced stages but nothing has been finalized.
In the upcoming years the company plans to sign a few deals in luxury as well as hotel segments.
