Aircel, a mobile service provider in India, has teamed with Oracle to deploy Communications Services Gatekeeper and Fusion Middleware to provide a personalized content delivery platform for new revenue generation.
Aircel has previously deployed Oracle Communications service fulfillment software, Siebel CRM, Fusion Middleware and Oracle Database.
The new offerings allow Aircel to offer a new multi-channel content portal to its customers to access a catalog of messaging, images, music, videos, games, news and regional services. In addition, the new deployments are supporting billing and delivery models that allow customers to manage real-time content, searches and subscription offerings via short message service (SMS) requests, interactive voice response (IVR) and the multi-channel portal, Oracle said.
According to Oracle, the Communications Services Gatekeeper enables Aircel to offer a partner self-service web portal that allows third-party content providers to onboard their content and applications, and manage offerings within their own micro-portals. It is also supporting new pricing strategies and accelerating the development of new communication applications.
