The makers of the world’s cheapest tablet, Datawind has now announced the launch of two of its low cost tablets. The Ubislate 7+ and the Ubislate 7C and cost Rs. 2,999 and Rs. 3,999 respectively for Indian market.
The specifications of both the tablets are similar, only the 7C comes with a 4GB internal flash memory, while the 7+ comes with a 2GB internal memory. The tablets have been powered by Cortex A8 800 Mhz processor , 256 MB RAM and has a 800 X 480 pixel capacitive touch screen.
The company has claimed that the tablets has a 3200 mAh battery which will deliver a battery back-up of up to 180 minutes. The only disappointing things is that the tablets will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The connectivity features of the tablets include micro USB slots for memory expansion, USB port which can also be used for the optional 3G USB modems. The customers who have already pre-booked the tablet, will soon be receiving their tablets as the shipments have begun. The company said that that the shipments will continue before the retail availability. The Ubislate 7C will be made available by the end of May.
