The Volkswagen Group owned Audi India has launched its next generation A4 for the Indian market. The new A4 has been launched two months ahead of its schedule to build the market share.
With the launch of the next generation A4, the luxury car maker is now close to overtaking the Mercedes Benz, as the second largest premium car maker in the country. The new A4 has been priced at Rs. 27.33 lakh to Rs. 38 lakh ex showroom price Maharashtra, which is Rs. 60,000 lower than the earlier generation.
Michael Perschke, the head of Audi India said, “We are already the segment leader with the A4. Thanks to the outstanding sales performance in the first quarter of 2012 of its predecessor encouraged us to pre-pone the launch of the new Audi A4. The launch of the A4 and with the upcoming Q3 in June, we aim to build our volumes even faster and work towards our aim of achieving number one position in the next few years”. The company has also claimed that the new A4 offers 10-25% better fu4el efficiency across the range and will continue to offer large interior space also also the longest wheel base in its category.
