The Indian Premiere League does not seem to get any relief from being surrounded by controversies. A legal notice has been sent on May 19, 2012 to the team director Siddharth Mallya of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the molestation case.

The molestation case involves the RCB player Luke Pomersbach. Mallya has been alleged of Tweeting about questioning on the victim’s character. The lawyer of the victim Rajneesh Chopra said, “We have sent a legal notice to Sidhartha Mallya on the derogatory remarks he made on Twitter.”

The victim has demanded an apology from Mallya. At present a team from the Delhi Police is at the ITC Maurya Hotel, where the incident took place, to collect some essential documents.

The police has reportedly collected CCTV footage from the hotel. Earlier another team from the Delhi Police reached the Primus Hospital to record the statement of the victim’s fiancé. The victim’s fiancé was badly beaten up by the IPL player. Siddharth over the incident Tweeted, “she was all over me last night and asked for my BBM (blackberry messenger) pin”. Reacting to his Tweets, woman activist Ranjana Kumari said that nobody has the right to sexually assault her.
