Computer manufacturing giant Hewlett Packard has on June 20 expanded its notebook portfolio and launched its thin and light Ultrabook and Sleekbooks in Chandigarh. The devices are based on the latest technologies for the ultimate entertainment experience.
Ranjivjit Singh, the chief Marketing Officer HP India Sales Private Limited said that a “significant part of HP business comes from the north region. Chandigarh alone currently contributes 1.5 per cent of total business from north. Punjab and Haryana contribute 2.1 per cent each, with north India contributing about 30 per cent of the business from the country.” Singh added that they are delighted to offer a whole new range of thin and light notebooks designed for performance which have been engineered for entertainment and built to deliver a unique computing experience.
The company also informed that the overall HP’s market share has gone up to 14.9 percent against 13 percent in the year 2011. HP has grown by 23.1 percent in the first quarter of the year 2012 as against the overall client market growth of 7.7 percent during this period.
The new notebooks are as sleek as 0.78 inches and starting from 1.75 kilos, the new HP ENVY notebook features a slip resistant base which makes it easy to grab and go. The Envy Ultrabook range price begins from Rs. 57,990 while the Sleekbook range comes with starting range of Rs. 41,990.
