General Motors India has on June 26 launched the new variant of its Premium sports utility vehicle (SUV) Captiva. The new Captiva has been priced between Rs. 18.74 lakh and Rs. 24.59 lakh ex-showroom Delhi.
Lowell Paddock the managing director of General Motors India said in a statement, “The Captiva is everything our customers across India have come to associate with the Chevrolet name plate. In India, it has established a clear niche for itself in the premium SUV segment”. The new SUV Captiva has been powered by a 2.2 litre engine with six speed auto transmission.
The company said, “The Captiva 2.2 A/T is a new addition to the Captiva variant line up in India offering an aggressive feature”. The engine of the Captiva can deliver 186.5 bhp at the rate of 3,800 revolutions per minute (RPM) and 424 Nm at the rate of 2,000 RPM torque with six speed automatic transmission.
Inside the new SUV, it has been equipped with five plus two flexible seating arrangement which can accommodate seven adults. The cargo space has a capacity of 1565 litre. The safety features include six air bags. The other features of the SUV include an electric parking brake, automatic wipers, and a sunroof.
