Seems like the German auto giants Audi and BMW are once again trying to dominate the Indian market with their presence. Audi recently launched its Q3 for the Indian market and is already planning to introduce its new Q2 Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) in the year 2014.

On the other hand even BMW has geared up to strengthen its presence in the country against its tough rival. Reports say that even BMW is working on the development of its entry level X2 SUV which is also expected to be launched by the year 2014.

Michael Perschke the head of Audi India said, India is a marathon where you have to have a lot of stamina to run the race. We have a clear product plan till 2019, which takes into account most of our competition.” Company officials revealed that Audi Q2 will be assembled in India which will help the company to offer the new model with a competitive price tag which is expected to be lower than that of the Audi Q3.

Audi on the other hand has said that it will soon outpace BMW by the year 2014 and will emerge as the largest luxury car maker of the world. So for this both the companies have to launch some exciting and competitive models in the market.
