Laptop and computer manufacturing giant HP has on July 5, 2012 launched solutions and service for the small as well as medium businesses in India. The new service will help the businesses to prepare infrastructure for the growing mobile workforce.

The new service from the company include, access to the devices like routers and port switches, business protection solution including servers, client virtualization solutions and disaster recovery. The organizations allows the employees to access their personal devices, like smartphones and tablet PCs for official use.

In such a case it is essential to access manage and secure the data generated by them. Prakash Krishnamoorthy, the HP Country manager while talking to the reporters said, “HP converged infrastructure provides the ideal platform for secure continuous access to data and applications”.

Krishnamoorthy also said that with the growing acceptance of BYOD (bring your own device) by organizations, the ‘weird world’ has shifted in to a combination of wired and wireless. The country manager also said that the small business market in India is worth USD 18 billion and the company is also expecting a growth rate of 100 percent for its various products. Research says that by the year 2016 around 50 percent of business email users will rely primarily on a tablet PC or mobile phone instead of a traditional laptop.
