All the passenger who are scheduled to travel with the Kingfisher Airlines will have to face some inconvenience on July 14, 2012. The normal schedule of flights will be affected on Saturday.

The inconvenience has been caused due to the cancellation of flights, as the employees have decided to stay at home so as to protest against the non-payment of salaries. The employees of the airlines have not been paid their salaries since almost five months.

The airline in a statement said that the flight operations were disrupted and added that almost 75 percent of the staff has been paid by Friday. The statement added, “The remaining staff has been assured that salaries will be paid by July 16. But despite this a section of employees decided to stay at home’’.

The passengers have been offered a full refund by the airline. Due to the employees strike the cash strapped airline has been forced to drastically curtail its schedule. At present the airline is operating out 100 flights per day which is down from 400 flights per day. All the international operations have been ceased and the airline has a fleet of13 aircrafts down from 60 earlier. Kingfisher Airlines has constantly been facing turbulent times due to finances.
