Smartphone manufacturer, LG has announced the launch of Android phone LG Optimus 4X HD. The smartphone was originally introduced at the MWC 2012 which was held earlier this year and ahs a quad core processor.

The new smartphone has been named as the Optimus 4X HD and has been priced at Rs. 34, 990 for the Indian market. The device will be competing against the HTC One X and the Samsung Galaxy S III, both of which are available in the Indian market since quite some time.

The competing handsets have already reached many hand sets due to which it is essential that LG has to be up to the mark to leave behind the existing competitors. However, the late entry in to the market might even grab attention due to some of it unique features and its price.

The device is powered by 1.5 Ghz NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad core processor and sports a 4.7 inch True HD IPS display with 120,720 pixels resolution and a 313 pp1 density. Other features of the phone includes 8 mega pixel camera, with 1080 video recording and it also has a secondary front facing camera for video calling. The best part is its battery which is 2,150 mAh battery and is rated to provide up to 11 hours of talk time.
