Japanese auto giant Toyota has on July 23, 2012 launched its completely redesigned Porte compact minivan and its new counterpart the Spade. Japan in the recent times has been experiencing rise in demands for the compact cars which has minivan like features like the large sliding doors and a spacious cabin.
The two models are fun yet functional and feature a large, remote and wide electric sliding door for easy passenger egress and ingress. The Porte and Spade feature a simple design with Porte emphasizing a relaxed feel.
While the Spade sports a Sharp and presence enhancing form. Both the vehicles come with a large passenger slide remote controlled sliding door which is 1,020 mm wide by 1,250mm high. The door can be opened as well as close with the help of a wireless key or by the touch of a button from the driver or rear seats.
The vehicles have been designed specifically for the everyday use and is also user friendly and has ample storage space places within easy reach of the drivers. Some of the user friendly features also include hooks for hanging shopping bags, convenient in-dash storage compartment for tissue box and a small side tray for storing small items. The price of the vehicles would range from 1.45 million yen to 1,91 million yen.
