Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh after recovering from cancer, was in August 10, 2012 included in the Indian cricket team for the World Twenty 20 Championship in Sri Lanka. Singh has also been included in the two T20s against New Zealand in the month of September within months of his recovery from a rare germ cell cancer.
Apart from Yuvraj, senior off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has also been recalled to the team after a gap of one year along with veteran seamer Lakshmipathy Balaji, who will return after three years. The selection of Yuvraj was on cards after he was declared fit by the physio and trainer at the National Cricket Academy where he had been camping for the past one month.
