Seems like Beijing is on a helping spirit of providing luxury lifts to people stranded in heavy rain. Shanghai resident Xia offered rides in his own 1 million yuan Audi Sports Utility Vehicle with a dozen fellow members of the Shanghai Super Car Club.
Xia a 20 year old University student said that a dozen Land Rovers, Audis and Toyota SUVs joined Xia on August 8, 2012 to function as free taxis to give people rides to subway stations, so that they could help more people. The Shanghai resident revealed that some of their club members did not return till 9 pm and in total they carried more than 100 stranded passengers.
