Auto giant Ford India on August 13, 2012 said that it was recalling 111,000 vehicles to check the potentiality of the faulty parts which could cause breakdowns or fires. The company said that it would be inspecting the top selling hatchback Figo and Classic sedan models which have been manufactured between January 2008 and February 2011.

Ford assured that it would be replacing the power steering hose on some of the cars due to fears of oil leaks which could cause fire in extreme cases. The company also said that it wanted to check the other vehicles for a potential suspension problem which could render the cars inoperable and promised to replace any defective parts.
