The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation has decided to launch a new payment deposit scheme. The passengers under the new scheme can book tickets against the advance money kept with the corporation.

An official involved with the IRCTC scheme said that the Rolling Deposit Scheme encourages hassle free e-ticket booking in which the passengers can book tickets against the advance money kept with IRCTC. The users have to deposit the money in advance and IRCTC will also not levy payment gateway charges for booking through RDS. The RDS scheme can be joined with a minimum amount of Rs. 1,500. The account can be managed online and can also top up online.
