As a measure for the upcoming holiday season, the traffic police in South China Guangdong province will be using helicopters and bicycles to direct the traffic. The helicopters will be used for managing the traffic as heavy traffic is expected.
During the mid-autumn and National holidays, three helicopters along with more than 500 bicycles will be equipped with loudspeakers. The holiday season will last from September 30 to October 7, 2012. The information on the traffic management was given by Zeng Tao, the deputy chief of the provincial traffic management at a press conference. For safety purpose, the chemical contained vehicles and trucks of more than 15 tonnes will not be allowed on the express ways during the eights days.
