AsiaBizz.com: Former Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal launched a new political party in India on the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri on October 2, 2012. The name of the political party has not been announced yet, due to certain legal issues.
Kejriwal assured that the name of the party will be announced on November 26, 2012.
At the Constitutional Club in New Delhi, Arvind said that he will give the details on the charges of corruption against two political parties on October 6, 2012.
Kejriwal said, “Political parties challenged us, saying we should enter politics if we wanted to get the Jan Lokpal Bill passed. We have pleaded enough with political parties. Yachna nahi, ab rann hoga (No more pleading, we will now fight)”. The former Team Anna member also said that he does not know if he would win or lose, but added that if he does not fight today, then his children might accuse him of wasting an opportunity.
The team of Kejriwal released a draft of their vision document, which is based on 20,000 responses that were received. The new fighter in Indian politics also said that his fight is against the political system and not against any individual. The features of his vision documents include fighting corruption, swaraj, tackling inflammation and land acquisition.
