Six months ago British Grand Prix was going to end in vain. The Silverstone race track, which is the birth place of formula one, was almost dead. Damon Hill president of the BRDC said, that after the construction of the new track British Grand Prix has an assured future of at least 17 years.
The new circuit has emerged after tedious work of almost 5 months and at a total cost of 5 million pounds. Hill said that Silverstone has been the drivers favorites for years as for the reason that it was always challenging and breathtaking, and now he hopes to keep the excitement for the F-1 drivers the same.
All that Hill wants is the Silverstone should play the same magic that Hamilton and Button played in Shanghai at the Chines Grand Prix, as it is their own home race track.
