Samsung Electronics are all set to unveil their 4 Inch Galaxy S III Mini in Germany on October 11, 2012. The mobile division head of Samsung Electronics JK Shin, confirmed to the South Korean media that Samsung is going to announce the Galaxy S III mini.  However no further details were made available.

There has been speculation in the media that the phone will feature a dual core processor and a 5 mega pixel camera along with  an 800 X 480 display, but nothing has been officially declared. The original Galaxy S III, which has a 4.8 inch screen, was unveiled in the month of May earlier this year.

The company had reported strong sales for the flagship phone, which helped Samsung post a record USD 7.3 Billion operating profit in the months between July and September. Samsung managed good sales, despite having to face a patent suit from Apple, which it lost.

According to reports, the new Galaxy S III mini will have the same features as its larger 4.8 inch sibling. The smartphone might have a 1,500 mAh battery, which is a lower specification then that of the larger phones. The new smartphone is also likely to have the latest Android version, known as Jelly Bean.
