Mobile phone manufacturer HTC has slashed the prices of its ‘One S’ and ‘Desire V’ smartphones. The phones are now available for Rs. 25,900 and Rs. 16,900 respectively in the Indian market. Online retailer Saholic is now selling the smartphones at their reduced price.
The One S was launched in the Indian market in the month of June for Rs.33,590, however prices were cut in August, reducing it to Rs 28,900. The HTC Desire V was launched in the Indian market in the month of June for Rs. 21,999.
The One S has now seen its third price slash, while the Desire V has received its second price cut. The One S smartphone is loaded with a 1.7 Ghz Snapdragon S III processor and comes with a 4.3 inch display, 8 mega pixel camera with flash, Beats Audio, VGA front facing camera and video recording.
While the Desire V has a 1 GHz single core processor and runs on the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform with HTC Sense 4.0 UI atop. The device also has a 512 MB RAM, 4 GB Internal memory and expandable memory of up to 32 GB with micro SD card and a 1,650 mAh battery.
The Taiwanese phone manufacturing company has seen a surge of smartphone releases of late, with the ‘One X+’ set to hit Indian markets in November. November will also see the release of Windows 8 on HTC smartphones, to be launched in over 50 countries through over 150 carriers.
