Indian airline carrier Kingfisher Airlines, which has grounded its fleet since October 1, 2012 might lose its flying permit altogether. According to reports, if the airline does not respond to the DGCA’s request to explain the sudden cancellations of its flights, as well as the non-adherence to its flight schedule in the past, there could be a cancellation of its flying permit.
A senior official from the civil aviation ministry said that October 19, 2012 is the last day when Kingfisher will have, in order to respond to the show cause notice which has been sent to them by the DGCA. If Kingfisher fails, then it will not be given any extra time, and the license may be suspended.
