As the iPhone 5 is all set to hit Indian shores, Indian telecom giant Airtel has begun taking pre-orders for the 16 GB version of the new iPhone 5 on its official website.
The starting price of the device is Rs. 45,500 and has made it even costlier than the popular Samsung Galaxy S III. The Galaxy S III is available on Flipkart.com for Rs. 34,900 and the HTC One X is available on Flipkart for Rs. 34,999. The Indian pricing was first shared by Redington, which is one of Apple’s two distribution partners in India. It said that the 32 GB and 64 GB version of the phone will be priced at Rs. 52,500 and Rs. 59,500 respectively.
