Indian mobile phone manufacturer Videocon Mobiles has launched four new affordable handsets under its ‘Dost’ series. The handsets which were launched include the V1531+, V1542, V1528 and the V1544. All the handsets have dual SIM capabilities and the company has claimed that the devices have longer battery life as well.
The features of the V1542 include a 2.6 inch display, 1.3 megapixel rear camera, FM radio, Bluetooth and 1800 mAh battery and has been priced at Rs. 2,099. The V1528 handset has a smaller screen which is priced at Rs. 1,799.
The VG1531+ features a 2.4 inch display, 1.3 megapixel camera and 1,500 mAh battery, and has a price tag of Rs. 1,849. The V1544 has a 2.4 inch display and a 3000 mAh battery. The device has a 1.3 mega pixel camera, Bluetooth, FM radio and has been priced at Rs. 2,399. All the handsets come pre-loaded with social networking apps such as Twitter, Facebook and Movie Juke Box. Bipin Narang, while commenting on the launch said, “We understand that Indian consumers are very connected to long hours of phone usage and less of charging, while being on the move.”
Narang added that keeping the requirements of Indian customers in mind, the new Dost series has been designed with longer battery life and social networking features.
