U.S. automobile manufacturer Chrysler Group LLC, is reportedly recalling around 575,000 Jeep sport-utility vehicles and Dodge and Chrysler minivans for reported brake line and wiring defects.
Reports say that the company has recalled 288,968 Jeep Wranglers for the years 2001 through 2010, so that they can “repair a defect caused when liners inside the fenders touch right-front and left-rear brake lines, leading to wear that may cause fluid to leak and raising the risk of a crash,” according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Also, around 25,336 models of the 2007 Dodge Caliber and Jeep Compass crossover vehicles have been recalled for accelerator pedal issues.
All owners of these vehicles can contact Chrysler by calling 1-800-853-1403.
