Asia Bizz: Unemployment Rate In Wisconsin Drops In April 2010 – First Time in 14 Years

Unemployment in Wisconsin was much lesser in the month of April, according to reports. The state labor says that there were more than 16,400 jobs added, which in turn becomes the largest increase in a month in over 14 years.

The authorities in the state said that the unemployment rate was around 9.8 percent for Wisconsin in the month of March. The increase on the overall state for the first four months of this year has been around 32,000 employed.

Roberta Gassman, the Department of Workforce Development Secretary said in a statement, (UKTN)

“With the support from our federal partners and the leadership of Governor Jim Doyle, Wisconsin is focused on helping businesses create jobs and providing workers across the state with opportunities to get those jobs.”
