Search engine giant Google is celebrating Valentine's Day and the 154th birthday of George Ferris, marking the day of an exposition in Chicago in the year 1893. The search engine has presented a unique interactive Doodle on its homepage to commemorate the occasion.

The Doodle features two Ferris wheels with a backdrop of a fair ground. It has around 16 characters which narrate ten love stories. These can be viewed by pressing the play button which has a love sign on it. When a user presses the play button, it depicts two characters and shows the love story of the characters in a pictorial form.

Out of all the 16 characters, the fox is the only character which likes to spend time with his TV. George Ferris was an American engineer and became popular for designing the original Ferris wheel for an exposition in Chicago in 1893. Ferris had begun his career in the railroad industry.

From an early age, George was interested in bridge building and he founded G.W.G Ferris and Co. in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His company tested and inspected metal for railroads and bridge builders. In the year 1893, Ferris came to know about the World’s Colombian Exposition to be held in 1893 in Chicago, Illinois and then went to the city. The rest, as they say, is history.
