South Korean electronics company Samsung is reportedly not launching its S III Mini for the Indian market. A recent report mentioned that the S III Mini has been available in the grey market for quite sometime, but now the phone will not be making it into the Indian market through official channels.
Until now there has been no official date for the smartphone's release in the Indian market. Sources said that the decision not to launch the device in the country might be due to the company’s desire to see the other officially released phones to do well.
The S III Mini has a 4-inch Super AMOLED display and runs on Android's 4.1 platform, also known as Jelly bean. While the Galaxy S III has a quad-core processor, the mini version of the device has a dual core processor with a 1 GHz CPU and 1 GB RAM. The device has an 8-mega pixel rear camera in the original version and a 5-mega pixel camera in the mini version. The S III mini has an auto focus LED Flash with a front VGA camera as well.
The smartphone comes in two versions, those having 8 GB and 16 GB internal storage, while the Micro SD expansion supports up to 32 GB.
