Computer manufacturer Microsoft Corp, on March 1, 2013, said that its Surface RT tablet will soon go on sale in Japan, Mexico, Russia, Singapore, New Zealand and Taiwan. The device will later be launched in Australia, China, France, Hong Kong, Singapore and the United Kingdom.
Panos Panay, the corporate vice president of Microsoft Surface said, “We are eager to see people and businesses in more countries get a chance to experience this new category of devices”. Panoy added that Surface is the best of a tablet and a PC.
The Surface is an extension of the Windows experience, which allows users to work, connect and play with people who matter to them. The new Surface also allows for users for transition between entertainment and creation. The new device has an ultralight, durable casing and an integrated kickstand and a cover which allows the users to be productive anywhere.
The Surface RT can be called a tablet, with some laptop facilities, which allows for productivity and versatility. The device is also best for those who are looking for good battery life, as the battery of this device will last for up to one day. It can also be used for entertainment purposes. With the new tablet, Microsoft are trying to make a stand in the tablet world and compete with big names such as Apple and Samsung.
