Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan and filmmaker R Balki have come together for a social cause. The director has recently shot a film which is scheduled to be released on March 8, 2013.
Sources from the production unit revealed that Balki had met Shahrukh some time ago in Mumbai and discussed the subject. The sources added that the subject is very sensitive and that the filmmaker wanted Shahrukh to be the face of the project.
More meetings were conducted in regards to the venture and everything was kept under wraps, so as to avoid unnecessary speculation. However, in the process, the filmmaker managed to convince the ‘Badshah’ actor to participate. The short film is based on a very sensitive issue, but the actual subject was not revealed . Some sources from the industry hint that this new short film will be released on March 8, 2013 – Women’s Day.
If one takes the release date of the film into consideration, it is possible that the subject might be something related to women. the ‘Ra One’ actor has reportedly shot his parts, while Balki is now in the process of editing them. This has also marked the first time that Balki and Shahrukh have worked together. Sources added that the two bonded well on the sets and were also heard talking about world cinema.
