Mobile phone manufacturer Sony might announce the launch of its Xperia Z and ZL smartphones at an event on March 6, 2013. However, even before the smartphones are officially launched, the devices have made their way to the popular online retail site Flipkart.
The white variant of the Xperia Z is available for pre-order for Rs. 38,990 in the Indian market. The online store, while mentioning the details of the estimated release, has hinted that the third week of March could be the release date. The site has also giving an exclusive pre-order offer, where the users can get a 16 GB Sandisk memory card along with the phones.
On the other hand, the Xperia Z is already available in Japan for 80,430 yen, without a contract and the Xperia ZL is also expected to retail shelves in Germany by April 2013. The smartphone will have a price tag of 599.99 euros.
The new Xperia Z and ZL are the company’s latest flagship phones, which were announced at the Consumer Electronics show 2013. The new Sony smartphone will come with a 5-inch full-HD display and run on Android’s 4.1 platform. It will also contain a 1.5 Ghz quad-core Qualcomm S4 Pro processor, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. The device will also have features like a 13-megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel camera, micro SD slot and support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC.
