Tiger Airlines, the low-cost air carrier based out of Singapore is offering huge discounts in India. The current offerings are also the lowest fares of the season so far, as air travel to Singapore from five different Indian cities comes at a price of just Rs. 2,700.
The Singaporean-based airline intends to continue its operations in the country and is also looking forward to align with other Indian carriers to expand its connectivity with Coimbatore, Kolkata and Madurai. Tiger Airways is offering one way economy fares from Indian destinations to Singapore at a promotional rate which is inclusive of taxes and other related charges.
The promotional fares will go on sale from March 7, 2013 to March 13, 2013 for travel between May and December in the same year. However, there is a catch, as just five percent of the flight capacity based on the special fares will be available for purchase.
People travelling from Bangalore, Chennai, Kochi, Hyderabad and Tiruvananthapuram to Singapore can avail the offer. Kaneswaran Avili, the commercial director of Tiger Airways Singapore said, “This is the lowest fare offer for travel to Singapore. The average fare during the normal period is in the range between Rs 7,000 and Rs 8,000”. The Asian carrier is soon expected to announce its expansion to Kolkata as well.
