Asia Bizz: L&T Bags Hyderabad Metro Rail Project
Larsen and Toubro (L&T), the Engineering and construction company are the one’s who has bagged the Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) project of Rs 12,132 crore.
The previous company Maytas Infra , could not achieve the financial targets, that led to the new bidding for the project.
L&T had eight competitors- Reliance Infrastructure, Lanco Infratech, GVK, GMR, L&T, Soma-Straburg, Transstroy and Essar groups. A three member panel chose Larsen and Toubro over the other eight infrastructure companies.
The construction of the Hyderabad Metro Rail project will is slated to start from October this year and is likely to get over within four years from the date of the start.
The project will be dealt in public private partnership in the matters of design, build, finance, operate and transfer basis (DBFOT).
The Hyderabad Metro Rail is a 71.6 km long project.
