Filmmaker Prakash Jha recently denied the rumours that the upcoming movie ‘Satyagraha’ is based on Anna Hazare’s Lokpal Bill movement. Jha revealed that the movie has shown discontent among the youth these days. Anna Hazare is an Indian activist who managed to get the nation to rally with him against corruption in the country.
The filmmaker said, “The film is not based on Anna Hazare’s movement, but there may be few similarities between it and the Lokpal agitation. The movie is about the problems faced by youths and their thinking”. The star cast of the movie, apart from Jha, includes Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan, Arjun Rampal, Kareena Kapoor and Amrita Rao.
At present, Amitabh Bachchan is busy shooting for the movie in Bhopal and missed his wife Jaya Bachchan’s birthday on April 9, 2013. The actor said that this has happened many times, due to their busy schedules.
The 70-year-old also said that he was very fond of Bhopal, not due to the fact that it was his in-law’s place, but because the people there were very warm and loving. Amitabh added that he has been praising the city everyday on his blog. The city of Bhopal is the native place of actress Jaya Bachchan.
