Mobile phone manufacturing giant HTC has launched another mid-ranged smartphone called the HTC Desire L. The new Desire L has a 4.3-inch Super LCD2 display with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution and weighs 118 grams.

The device is powered by a 1GHz dual core processor with 1GB RAM. It also comes with 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded with a micro SD card. However, it is still not clear as to which version of Android the new Desire L will be powered, but it is expected to have at least 4.1 Android Jelly Bean.

The Desire L will have a 1800 mAh battery, 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and a BSI Sensor and LED Flash, which is capable of recording videos in 720p. Recently, the company also unveiled its Desire Q and Desire P smartphones. The Desire Q has a has a 4-inch WVGA display and comes with the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform, which is powered by a 1Ghz single core processor. It also features 512 MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by another 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card.

For now, the smartphone is available only in Taiwan and retails at NT $ 6,990. With these new offerings, HTC is looking to surge forward in the competitive market of smartphones.
