For all those who are eagerly waiting to get their hands on the much-awaited EcoSport by Ford, the wait is over. The company is all set to open bookings for the upcoming SUV from the month of June 2013.
For a long time, the company was not giving a clear picture of the specifications of the vehicle, due to which the excitement of the enthusiasts was being dimmed. However, now the company has gained confidence after the car was showcased a few days back. There were also reports that the vehicle will be available in several variants.
The company will be offering the vehicle in three engine options, which include a 1.5-litre diesel, 1.5-litre petrol and the highly acclaimed 1.0-litre EcoBoost unit. The SUV will be available in 12 variants and manual transmission will be available in all engine types. The automatic transmission gearbox will be available for just the 1.5-litre petrol engine, in the Titanium and Titanium Plus variants.
Even for the 1 litre EcoBoost engined SUV, options will be available in just two high end trims. These options include the Ambiente which will be the base model, the Trend which is slightly better equipped, high end Titanium and Titanium Plus.
