Handset-manufacturing giant Samsung is aiming to maintain its leadership position in the smartphone segment in the Indian market. In order to maintain its domination on the market, the company launched its Galaxy Grand Quattro, priced at Rs. 17,290.

The device has a 4.7-inch display with a dual-SIM handset, is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Operating System, with a 5-megapixel camera. Quattro also has an 8 GB of internal memory. Vineet Taneja, Samsung Mobile Country Head in a statement said, “Following the success of the Galaxy Grand introduced in January this year, we are confident that the Galaxy Grand Quattro will meet the needs of consumers looking for the ‘Grand’ experience in a slightly smaller display”.

After the launch of the latest device, the company has a portfolio of 14 Smartphones, priced between Rs. 5,990 and Rs. 41,500. Samsung is also presenting a special introductory offer and the device will come with a digital wallet of Rs. 3,000 which will be valid for 90 days and applicable on games.

In December 2012, the company sold more than 10 million Galaxy devices in the country since the launch of the first Galaxy S back in June 2010.
