The results of Class XII have been declared by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), on May 27, 2013. The board issued a statement which said that the results have been declared across the country on Monday and the total pass percentage is 82.10%, which is an improvement of about two percent compared to 2012.

In total, 9,44,721 students have registered for the Class XII examination in 2013. This also marks an increase in the number of students appearing for the CBSE Board exams. Candidates can also access their results through an interactive voice response system (IVRS), at the charge of 30 paise per minute. The official website of the board also states that the results can be accessed globally by dialing 91-11-24300699. The Class XII exams of CBSE board were conducted between March 1, 2013 and April 17, 2013. Same as in 2012, girls have outshined boys in terms of results, as 87% of girls have passed the exam, compared to just 77% of boys.

Region-wise, Chennai, in the state of Tamil Nadu, is at the number one spot with a pass percentage of 91.83%.
