On May 30, 2013, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class 10 results for all regions, which also include international students. The Board declared the results for Chennai region earlier in the week.
The candidates can check the CBSE Class 10 results on the official websites, www.results.nic.in and www.cbseresults.nic.in. Results can also be checked through SMS, by typing CBSE10 ROLL NO and sending it to 543216 for MTS, 57766 for BSNL, 54321 for Indicom and Docomo users, 5800002 for Aircel, 5207011 for Airtel users and 50000 for Vodafone users. Another way to access the results is through IVRS, for which the students have to dial 011-24300699.
Overall, the total of 98.76 percent students have qualified the exam for admission to higher classes. The number has marginally increased from 98.18 percent in 2012. It has been noticed that the performance of girls is marginally better than boys, with a pass percentage of 98.94 percent for girls, compared to 98.64 percent for boys.
The results of the Chennai region were declared on May 26, 2013 and the overall pass percentage is 99.80, which is the highest compared to other regions. A total of 1,25,7893 candidates appeared for the Class 10 examination in 2013.
