Auto giant Maruti Suzuki has recently launched the CNG variant of its Ertiga model, which is also known as the Ertiga Green. The new variant of the MPV has been priced between Rs. 6.52 lakh and Rs. 7.30 lakh (ex showroom price Delhi).
Manohar Bhat, vice president (Marketing) of the auto giant, in a statement said, “We continuously work to offer products that are high on fuel efficiency and low on overall cost of ownership. Ertiga Green, with a factory fitted CNG system, is another step of Maruti Suzuki to meet today’s need of our customers”. The Ertiga from Maruti Suzuki proved to be a success among Maruti enthusiasts and sold more than 87,000 units since the launch of the vehicle in April 2012.
However, in recent times the sales of the vehicle have gone down due to the sluggish market. The new Ertiga Green has become the sixth vehicle from the company which has the factory fitted CNG kits. On the other hand, Wagon R, Eco, SX4 and the Estilo are already being offered with the factory fitted CNG kits.
The company announced that the new vehicle will be available in states which have the infrastructure of CNG, including Gujarat, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi NCR and some parts of Andhra Pradesh.
