Asia Bizz: Wright County Egg Reveals Egg Recall List After Increased Salmonella Symptoms Reported In USA
Egg Recall List revealed: A salmonella outbreak in USA has led to an egg recall of hundreds of a list of several brands belonging to an Iowa company called Wright County Egg in Galt. Reports say that hundreds of people have become ill after consuming the contaminated eggs.
Wright County Egg had earlier recalled the following egg brands: Boomsma, Lucerne, Albertson, Trafficanda, Mountain Dairy, Farm Fresh, Ralph’s, Sunshine, Hillandale,Shoreland, Kemps , Lund, and Dutch Farms. These recalled brands came with three-digit code which ranged between 136 to 225, in addition to plant numbers 1026, 1413 and 1946.
CNN reports “The new recall covers eggs branded as Albertsons, Farm Fresh, James Farms, Glenview, Mountain Dairy, Ralph’s, Boomsma, Lund, Kemps and Pacific Coast and are marked with a three-digit code ranging from 136 to 229 and plant numbers 1720 and 1942, the company said.”
The FDA has stated that they received around 200 salmonella poisoning cases every week towards the end of June and he beginning of July. The Egg Safety Centre has said that around 380 million eggs have been recalled ever since the increasing salmonella poisoning cases came into light.
People who suffer salmonella symptoms, are known to experience diarrhea, cramps in the abdomen and fever, which take effect within 12 to 72 hours after consuming contaminated food.
