Tech giant Motorola has officially launched its newest smartphone at a recent event in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The new phone is known as the Moto G and is was revealed by Dennis Woodside, the CEO of Motorola who stated that the Moto G offers a premium experience with the latest technology at a lower price than its competitors.
The new Moto G’s design is similar to the Moto X, which was launched by the company earlier in 2013. The new phone has an edge-to-edge display, Gorilla Glass protection, a curved back and a nano-coating on outside and inside, which is able to protect it from water. At the moment, the device is available in some selected markets and is expected to arrive in the Indian market in early January 2014.
The new Moto G specifications include a 4.5-inch 720p resolution display with pixel density of 329 ppi, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor which is clocked at 1.2 GHz and 1 GB of RAM. The company states that the battery can last an entire day and offers 33 percent more talk time than, for example, the iPhone 5S on 3G networks.
The device also comes with a removable back cover with interchangeable shells.
