Tablet manufacturer Pantel Technologies has teamed up with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) in order to launch four affordable devices in India. The two companies have launched the Penta Smart PS650 and Penta Smart PS501 Android smartphones which have been priced at Rs. 7,999 and Rs. 6,999, respectively.

In addition to that, Pantel launched the refreshed Penta T-Pad WS707C tablet with voice-calling feature, which is priced at Rs. 6,999 and a Penta Bharat feature phone, which comes with a price tag of Rs. 1,799. The new Penta Bharat feature phone has a 3-inch display and supports dual-SIM functionality with dual standby. Additional features of the device include a 1.3-megapixel rear camera and a Bluetooth connectivity option.

The Penta Bharat phone has a 1800mAh battery with 8 hours of talktime, as well as up to 360 hours of standby time. The phone comes with 64 MB of RAM and includes 64 MB of inbuilt storage. Meanwhile, the Penta Smart PS650 features a large 6.5-inch display, which is most likely going to be the biggest one seen on a smartphone in the country.

The device runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and supports single SIM. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Cortex A7 processor with Mali 400 MP GPU. BSNL is offering its customers 1200 minutes of free talktime on the BSNL network for both the Penta Smart PS650 and Penta Smart PS501.
