Indian phone manufacturer Micromax has launched a new Android phablet from the popular Canvas series. The company has released the Canvas 2.2 A114, which is listed on retailer Flipkart and is priced at Rs. 12,799.
Some of the main features of the device include a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 540 X 960 pixels. The device is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and 1 GB of RAM. The Canvas 2.2 A114 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, measures 73 X 145 X 9.7 mm and weighs 147 grams.
Additional features of the device include an 8-megapixel camera, LED flash with 1080p video capture, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 4 GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32 GB through microSD card. The Canvas 2.2 comes with a 2000 mAh battery and has a dualSIM capability. Connectivity options of the device include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, 3G, Light Sensor, G Sensor and Proximity Sensor.
Back in May 2013, the company launched the Canvas 2 Plus A110Q, which has an inferior display and a different processor. The company gradually managed to become one of the most popular names in the smartphone segment and has introduced some of the finest handsets.
