Lee Seung-woo, an analyst at IBK securities said, “Samsung is currently working on the Galaxy Gear 2, and the product will be surely released early next year”. Sources familiar with the development said that it is very likely that the Galaxy Gear 2 will be in the spotlight at the MWC.

The new Galaxy Gear 2 is expected to have a flexible organic light-emitting diode display. Besides the Galaxy Gear 2, the company is also expected to unveil its Galaxy Band. The Galaxy Band is reportedly a health and fitness wristband which will have the ability to monitor physical conditions, including pulse and blood pressure.

Moreover, Samsung’s rival LG is also expected to roll out its wearable products – the G Arch and the G Health – at the MWC event. Lee went on to say that there is a high chance that LG will reveal its smartwatch at the MWC. Reports say that LG has applied for patents for both smart gadgets at the patent office in Korea.
