The much-awaited compact sedan Amaze from Honda has been launched in the Indian market. The new SX variant of the vehicle is placed above the current S trim and will be available to customers in petrol, as well as diesel fuel options. However, the latest vehicle will come only with manual transmission.
The difference between the S variant and the SX variant is that the newer version will have twin airbags and ABS. With the introduction of the SX version, the overall figure of Amaze variants has increased to 12, with four in petrol and diesel and two in petrol automatic. Prices have also been set and the petrol variant begins at Rs. 6.22 lakh, while the diesel SX variant begins at Rs. 7.12 lakh (ex-showroom price Delhi).
The company’s launch of the Amaze in India has been very successful, due to the 100 PS 1.5 liter engine. The company is also claiming that the vehicle delivers a fuel efficiency of 25.8 kmpl from the diesel engine. Even the petrol engine is very familiar with an 88 PS 1.2 liter motor from the Brio.
The diesel version of the vehicle comes with a manual transmission and the petrol version will come with an automatic gearbox option.
