Electronics manufacturing giant Sony has launched its new 6-inch phablet – which is known as the Xperia T2 Ultra – for the Indian market. Sony has designed the dual SIM variant of the device specifically for users in India and it is priced at Rs. 25,990. Indian phone enthusiasts can get their hands on the device starting from March 20, 2014 onwards through Xperia Flagship Stores, Sony Centres and the biggest electronic stores in the country.
In February 2014, there were reports that the device is listed on the online store Saholic for Rs. 32,499 and the retailer promised to deliver the Xperia T2 Ultra Dual by March 26, 2014. The latest Xperia is the successor to the Xperia T smartphone of Sony. When it comes to differences between the two models, the new device will deliver a better picture quality compared to the previous model.
The Xperia T2 Ultra Dual has a sleek profile, despite having a huge display. Features of the device include a 13-megapixel camera with 1.1-megapixel front-facing camera, 8 GB onboard storage which can be expanded up to 32 GB through a Micro SD card slot and a 3,000 mAh battery. The device is powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and the connectivity features of the smartphone include Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS, A-GPS, DLNA and Bluetooth.
