Asus launches sub 10,000 category ZenFone smartphone.
Taiwan based computer hardware company Asus, has launched its a new series of smartphones known as the ZenFone for the Indian market. The company has launched its 8 GB variant of the ZenFone 5 which will be available for Rs. 9,999. So far, Asus has not revealed the pricing of the 16 GB version of the smartphone, but online store Flipkart’s listing has quoted that the device will be priced at Rs. 12,999.
The new smartphone series from Asus will directly compete with the Moto G smartphone and has a bigger display. The only drawback here is the smartphone is powered by an older version of Android. The Asus ZenFone has a 5 inch screen with 720 p resolution and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly bean. The device is powered by a 1.6 GHz dual core Intel Atom processor with Hyper Threading technology 2 GB RAM.
The device has an 8 mega pixel rear camera and a 2 mega pixel front camera. Asus has also launched its ZenFone 6 for the Indian market which has been priced at Rs. 16,999 and has made it the most aggressively priced 6 inch tablet in the Indian market.
The ZenFone 6 is powered by a 1.6 Ghz dual core Intel Atom processor and can support up to 64 GB through micro SD cards.
