Electronics manufacturing giant Asus has announced that it is all set to put 10,000 units of the ZenFone 5 smartphone on sale exclusively in the only e shopping site Flipkart on August 9, 2014. The device will be available in 8 GB and 16 GB versions but the company has not specified further break in terms of the storage space. At present the Flipkart page shows that the device is out of stock and is asking the users to enter their email addresses to receive alerts about its availability.

– 2 mega pixel front camera for selfies and video calling
– Both the models have expandable memory of up to 64 GB with micro SD card
The 8 GB version of the ZenFone has a price tag of Rs. 9,999 and the 16 GB variant has a price of Rs. 12,999. In July 2014, the company had claimed that it has sold 40,000 ZenFone units in just four days in the Indian market. The device was launched with other ZenFone models like the ZenFone 4,4.5 and 6. The new ZenFone 5 lies between the higher end ZenFone 6 and the ZenFone 4.
